Accounts Senior / Accounts Assistant | £30,000 – £40,000 | Full-Time | Office-Based- Bradford

We’re partnering with a growing independent accountancy practice based in Bradford that has recently gone through an exciting period of change, including new leadership and a move to modern offices.

They’re now looking to bring in an Accounts Senior / Accounts Assistant to support the team, take ownership of client work, and help develop junior staff.

The Role

You’ll manage your own portfolio while playing a key role in supporting both clients and the wider team.

  • Client Management: Managing a portfolio of SME clients across a range of sectors
  • Year-End Accounts: Preparing accounts for limited companies
  • Tax Work: Personal tax returns (directors) and corporation tax returns
  • Bookkeeping: Supporting clients with day-to-day finance
  • Training & Mentorship: Supporting and developing junior staff
  • Client Interaction: Building strong, long-term relationships

This is a hands-on, client-facing role with real variety and responsibility.

What We’re Looking For

  • Practice background with around 5 years’ experience
  • AAT qualified (or QBE considered)
  • Confident preparing year-end accounts and tax returns
  • Comfortable managing clients and setting expectations
  • Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach
  • Experience with Xero, Sage, or similar software (Dext beneficial)
  • CIS experience advantageous but not essential

Location: Bradford (office-based)
Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 (DOE)
Hours: 35-hour week with early Friday finish
Start: ASAP
